Lifestyle Meets Dress Code

How much does our style effect our lifestyle? How much does lifestyle effect out style? I have long wondered what the factors are that affect our style and sense of dress. What are the components that make an outfit work as everything comes together?

From my own experience, i know that there can be many factors that all have and influence: Our jobs or careers, the type of society that surrounds us, the current and latest trends, the type of place we livein, personal tastes.. and so much more! I always pay special attention to the last one, whis is our unique taste. As strange as it may sound, this has something to do with our external expression. Very often these are the preferences or inclinations that are imposed upon us by media, by others, or by the our culturethat we accept as part of ourself, even though we may not see ourselfs reflected in it, Still, because of how ingrained they are in us, it can be difficult to notice.

Think about the many choices you make during the day when it comes to your clothes. How many of them are based off of what you want versus what society tells you? For example, you likely wouldnt wear dramatic, smokey makeup to just another day at the office- unless you have a glamourous job, thats it!. Just as you wouldent go bare face in jeans and a t-shirt to a special event. These are all inherent style trends we learn from our society that we barely even realize.

Furthermore, out “style” or outfit choice is not just what you might wear for this ot that occasion. Our style of dressis our expression of our inner state. It is a very subconscious way of describing ourself and communicating with our external enviroment how we feel inside. Style really does entail everything, but most of all, it includes our behavior.

Since i startedin fashion, i have been increasingly seeing and “reading” tge different ways people express themselfs outside of verbal communication. all of this comes down to aethetics, beginning with how we feel internally, and then how we express it externally. The way we see interpret colors, shapes, and everything that surrounds us affects our own style. Whatever one feels inside, they will display it in some manner on the outside.

Another imortant factor that influences our style is what others think. In my opinion, if you are swayed by this, it is one of the biggest mistakes you can make, and it show your lack of confidence in yourself. If you notice that you are more concerned by how others perceive you then by how you feel about yourself, this way of thinking can be destructive. You should always focus more on your image of yourself , becouse, trast me, people will sense when you begin putting too much though into how they think of you. Yet your confidence will always shine from within.

A good sense of style doesnt not require large sums of money, and it shoulent bring much demage to your wallet. All it takes is getting out of the box and your comfort zone to live without being concerned what anyone else thinks of you. Your style is your own brand. Be stylish and be yourself.

NEW YORK INSPIRATION

I don’t think I am the only one who, when I first stepped into this fantastic city, fell in love with everything in it, and most of all, in its energy.

It was exactly three years ago when I had my first  fashion show at New York Fashion Week. Getting familiar with it, especially in this way, I had to introduced myself to the New York audience in a artistic way, and I wished to come back here whenever I could. I followed my senses, of course, and I knew where I would feel complete. On the first day of rehearsals, I saw what it has been a great motivation for me all these years: freedom, expression, width, high vibrations. I could write so much about this.

I was going to make my dream come true.  Artist dream. I want to live and create in NY.

When I say complete, I want to express my view of “fashion sense” (and not only fashion ), in this “center of the world”. Fashion in NY is fascinating. Fashion is not a simple explanation here. It just can not be. Fashion is all around. It’s in the streets, in the people, in the tasty food, in the way of life.

It’s not easy to define fashion, especially to me as a designer. However, each period has its own direction, its style, which is often standardized. That’s the base, then every individual has its own “trend”. Trends are something that is set, but our creations are unique. Our trend’s creation is what we are pursuing. We carry what we want, what is in the trend, to feel part of the whole. Being “fashionable” in this city is very easy, because this city loves and embraces the differences. I always detested uniformity, and often times I ignored it. On the other side, I sometimes used for a fantastic pieces of my own and styles.

Since we are all individuals, with our own choices and our own way of life, New York is a great place to savor fantastic fashion, and also go through personal transformation. The catharsis from the standard is the most beautiful freedom, and this city supports it strongly.

I find the inspiration in this energy that makes me move, explore, go further, leave the everyday comfort, change. Streets, tourists, yellow taxis, rain coming down, wet streets shining, Broadway, subway, inspiration is everywhere! And that’s just a small part of New York. New York that takes me to whole other dimension, where my creations are extraordinary, like the city itself, created exclusively from the feeling of everything surrounding me. Don’t be afraid to be unique and different, this city is crazy in love with it! Come here to show your (un)limits, make something beautiful, and live the dream! This city reward it with huge gratitude-it gives you its streets, its energy level, freedom of speech, expression, open mind and differentialities. Adventure begines when you are not ready for it.
